Missile strikes in Bahawalpur, Kotli, Muzaffarabad by India: DG ISPR

The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, reported early Wednesday that India had launched missile strikes on Kotli, Bahwalpur, and Muzaffarabad.

Speaking to ARY News at 1:06 am, DG Chaudhry stated: "A short time ago, the enemy, in a cowardly act, fired air strikes targeting the Subhanullah mosque in Bahwalpur's Ahmed East area, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad, attacking three locations from the air."

He added, "All our Air Force jets are currently airborne. This cowardly and disgraceful attack took place within India's airspace, and Pakistan’s airspace was never violated."

At least three Pakistanis were killed and 12 others injured in missile strikes carried out by India early on Wednesday, as confirmed by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.

The attacks targeted Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh, and Muzaffarabad, according to Pakistani media reports cited by News. Az.

These missile strikes come amid heightened tensions between the two nations following a militant attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

Chaudhry stated, "A short time ago, India launched air strikes on the Subhanullah mosque in Bahawalpur's Ahmedabad East area, as well as on Kotli and Muzaffarabad, hitting three locations from the air."

He added, "All of our Air Force jets are currently airborne. This cowardly and shameful attack was carried out within India's airspace, and they were never allowed to intrude into Pakistan's airspace."

Chaudhry further emphasized, "Let me be clear: Pakistan will respond to this at a time and place of its choosing. This heinous provocation will not go unanswered."

When asked about potential casualties, DG ISPR mentioned that damage assessments are ongoing, and further details will be provided later.
